Sight of the Stars

"For my part I know nothing with any certainty,
but the sight of the stars makes me dream."

Bezplatno c Chris Anderson

Chris Anderson(роден 1961 г.)

"Built by BOB, powered by Mom."

"I am not a woman who lost my baby weight in two weeks,
lets fashion dicate my style, and is never tired.
But I am STRONG. I am INVINCIBLE. I am MOM."

YAY! you gotta love the BOB mantra, especially on the days when you need "something to pick-you-up and keep you moving".

One of the best marketing campaigns out there, its for B.O.B strollers and gear
It makes me feel powerful and almighty even tough i'm not sporting their products.

Watch my favourite video of theirs on YouTube.

Feedbooks or ...

If you’re a book lover then you should check out FeedBooks. The handy site offers free ebooks for download compatible with all major mobile devices — from the Kindle, iPhone, iPod Touch, to the Sony PRS-505 and any PDA.
I've came across the site using the BookShelf app on my iTouch and i could easily browse and download using the built-in connection to the site.It has clean design and is simple to use, registration is free, not necessary but allowes for more advanced settings.

Not sure where to start? Browse through top books or check out the Recently Added Books and you're guaranteed to find something.
The library is on the classic side(it's free, after all), but offeres books in multiple languages and Creative Commons books. You'll find the latest from Paulo Coelho in English, French, Spanish. He is the first Best-selling author to actively support online free distribution of his work. Available are also some current books like the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Coveyand "Good to Great" by Jim Collins, both in Russian.

Apart from downloading, you can also publish and share your own content and and let FeedBooks users evaluate it.

Addicted to the latest news? Turn any RSS feed into a customized newspaper or turn your blog into a book.

I am yet to try the new feature: News Stand application to automatically synchronize subscriptions. So far used the list of newspapers which includes The New York Times, The Economist, Wall Street Journal etc.

One of the coolest features i've seen there is the reading lists which you can create using whatever criteria you wish. i've seen "books made in movies","highschool reading", "Creative Commons Science-Fiction", "Banned Books" and hundreds more.

So what are you waiting for?! Turn On Your Computer and Go Read a Book ...

On texting and other stories ...

YAY! We have our National Texting Champ...

Let's hope the prize covers her phone bill or she had unlimited texting option from her provider?! I know i do and i'm no where even close to reach her monthly texting figures in my life time...
In case you feel ambitious be forwarned -
the unlimited sms plans aren'rt so unlimited after all

"Parasite" Tune of the day

... is the song you've heard on the radio in the morning or before you go to bed at night..

The tune (you) keep humming on the subway on your way to work or school, (you) mumble the words to yourself all day long till your mind plunges into sleep ....

Enjoy my parasite for the day :)

*** Slowly ***

Would it be so bad if we just stopped for a while
And enjoyed the thrills we could all be still let the world just pass us by
But it's all hurry hurry run run there's no time for this
We want more and more, got to win got to score, so afraid of what we'll miss

And it moves so fast
And nothing lasts
This too here will come to pass
Wanna spend my days away from all the fuss
Wanna spend them with you baby but you're in a rush

Slowly
Why can't we just take our time
Slowly
wish that we could take our time

Yeah we're all getting older realize there's no fountain of youth
This is it came quick it's a lift it's a bitch it's your moment what you gonna do
Yeah time would you be a friend oooh bless us with the chance
To really grow up could you slow it up would you postpone the end

Cuz you move so fast
Nothing lasts
This too here will come to pass
Wanna spend my days away from all the fuss
Wanna spend them with you baby but you're in a rush

Slowly
Why can't we just take our time
Slowly
I wish that we could take our time

Cuz you move so fast
Nothing lasts
This too here will come to pass
And it flies and it rolls like the storms and the thunders
Stop and love me baby
Our days are numbered

Slowly
Why can't we just take our time
Slowly
I wish that we could take our time

Stop and love me baby
Our days are numbered
Take my time
Slow it down
Slowly

And So It Begins

What's this place - it's something like nothing else in the world...

It's a poets' corner, haiku garden and a music lounge, my place for random rants and chants - it's about food, living in New York City, travel bits, kids (but it's not a mommy-blog), and anything else that happens to come up and strikes my fancy.

And So,

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome!
Fremde, etranger, stranger.
Gluklich zu sehen, je suis enchante,
Happy to see you, bleibe, reste, stay...
